Crossfire International Car Club Incorporated
The Crossfire International Car Club Incorporated was founded by Anthony Crispino, Sr. Fernando Martinez, Patrick Purcell, Raymond Hacker and Chas Knight in July 2007 at the All Chrysler National in Carlisle, PA. -C-I-C-C-I was established and incorporated as a non-profit organization in August 18, 2008. They have over 436 international members which receive the club’s quarterly newsletter, “Xfactors” . Crossfires4Charity is the brain child of Chas Knight and was established as an adjunct to the -C-I-C-C-I to facilitate charitable contributions to those entities agreed upon by the Board of Directors. Each year, -C-I-C-C-I has an Annual Founders’ Meeting in Carlisle and a charity drive/auction to benefit the Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation.

The Northeast Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (NEC SAAC) consists of 24 members – comprised of two varsity athletes from each conference institution – who give voice to the student-athlete perspective on a regional and national level. The committee provides a medium for its members to develop leadership skills, promote community service and enhance the overall student-athlete experience.
Each winter, the NEC SAAC sponsors an annual fundraising competition amongst the twelve NEC schools, and the proceeds are collectively donated to the Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation.

On Christmas Eve, 1995, an article titled “Joy to the World” appeared in Parade Magazine. It was written by Pulitzer Prize winning photo-journalist, Eddie Adams. Part of the article featured a petite, downy haired child. She had been going through intensive chemotherapy and stated that her security blanket helped her get through the treatments. After reading the article, Karen Loucks decided to provide homemade security blankets to Denver’s Rocky Mountain Children’s Cancer Center, and Project Linus was born.

Binky Patrol
Binky Patrol is a national non-profit organization, founded in 1996 and has grown to over 190 chapters in the United States, Canada and England. The local area chapter was founded in 1999 by Yvonne Makowski and a group of volunteers. The organization creates handmade blankets (binkys) for children who are ill, abused, in foster care or experiencing trauma or loss and who need security and comfort of knowing that someone cares and they are loved. Since its inception, Binky Patrol has delivered over 100,000 blankets, nationally. The local area chapter has delivered over 7,900 binkys to local organizations.
