HARRISBURG – Renewal by Andersen of Central PA is adding another branch of service to its replacement window and door business - and that is community service. In partnership with Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation, Renewal by Andersen of Central PA will help grow the impact of this local nonprofit through monthly volunteer events as well as monetary and in-kind donations.

Over the years, Renewal by Andersen of Central PA has been a longtime supporter of many different local charities and nonprofits. This year, the business wished to focus its charitable giving on building a deeper relationship with one organization in an effort to give back at a greater level than ever before.

After great consideration, Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation was selected for this special partnership because its mission to improve the mental, social and emotional well-being of children and their families facing a cancer diagnosis closely aligns with the passion and interests of the Renewal by Andersen of Central PA staff.

“It was important for us to partner with an organization that helps children, especially those facing a devastating disease like cancer,” says Linda Johnston, General Manager, Renewal by Andersen of Central PA. “Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation does amazing work to bring happiness to these kids and we want to be a part of that.”

Throughout the year, Renewal by Andersen of Central PA’s staff will help organize “Bear-Able Gifts” that are delivered to children in the hospital, create care packages for Camp iHope campers, hand-write thank you notes, staff community events and more. The business also plans to donate a portion of sales for all of June and September to support important operating costs while raising awareness for the organization.

“We are extremely excited about this partnership,” says Jocelyn Davis, Executive Director, Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation. “We have an ambitious and exciting plan for the year which will allow us to work closely together to share in the joy of helping our children and their families!”
